The Team

Katherine Archuleta 

Founding Partner
Hometowns: Denver, CO and Corrales, NM
Education: Metropolitan State University, University of Northern CO

Katherine is nationally acknowledged as a strategic planning expert. She began her career as a school teacher in Denver, and worked in local government for Denver Mayors Federico Peña and John Hickenlooper. She served in senior leadership in the US Departments of Transportation and Energy in the Clinton Administration and Chief of Staff to US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis during the first two years of the Obama Administration. In 2012, Katherine was the first Latina to serve as a National Political Director of a presidential campaign, helping create a winning strategy for President Obama’s return to the White House. 

In 2013, Katherine was appointed by President Obama to be the first Latina to lead the US Office of Personnel Management. Overseeing the human resources management of the entire federal government, Katherine was responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and support of federal workers throughout the country. She designed and implemented policies and programs to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in the federal workforce. Accumulating nearly 20 years in public service along with leadership roles in Colorado and New Mexico nonprofit sectors, Katherine has been acknowledged nationally and locally for her public and private sector leadership roles.

 

Amy Sanchez Raaz

Amy is an accomplished executive leader with more than 20 years of national, state and local public sector, and nonprofit experience. She has an extensive track record in collaborative leadership, strategic planning, public relations, organizational management, public engagement and coalition/partnership building. Amy successfully re-designed and managed Xcel Energy’s political action committee in Colorado and six other states. Prior to her work at Xcel Energy she was Manager of Government Affairs for Denver International Airport, where she worked closely with federal and municipal officials on policy issues affecting the maintenance and growth of one of the country’s busiest airports. 

Amy served as Policy Director to Denver City Councilwoman Deborah Ortega providing her unique insight into the development of public policy by the legislative body. She assisted the Councilwoman in planning and designing small and large group meetings in her district – strengthening her skills and understandings of the importance of public input in guiding policy impacts. Amy has served as a strategist for non-profits, elected officials and issue campaigns throughout the country including Congressman Ed Perlmutter and Former Congressman Rahm Emanuel at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She is a graduate of the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver and holds a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Tony Massaro

Founding Partner
Hometown: Glenwood Springs, CO
Education: Colorado State University

Tony has years of experience in environmental and progressive politics and non-profit organizations – providing strategic advice, managing campaigns, raising money, and coordinating advocacy efforts at the national, state, and local levels. From 2005 through 2010, Tony served as the Senior Vice President of Political Affairs and Public Education of the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) and the LCV Education Fund.  Prior to his work at LCV, Tony was the Executive Director of the Colorado Conservation Voters and the Director of Environmental Affairs in the Denver Mayor’s Office. He is a member of the Analytics Group. In 2011 Tony founded 4Front Strategies, a firm that focuses on assisting non-profits in strategic planning and improving their advocacy accountability and electoral programs. 

Tony is a lifelong Coloradoan who grew up at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers in Glenwood Springs and attended Colorado State University. You can find him in the Colorado mountains hiking, biking, skiing, and rafting.
